Awareness program on Vitiligo and Homoeopathy
Homoeo Times hosted a workshop and a Public awareness program
on infertility at AIM, Chennai on 25th January 2009 in association
with Bahola Laboratories. A clinical workshop for the clinicians
and an exclusive public awareness program for the infertile couples
was organized in two halls simultaneously.
The work shop was arranged in Main Hall and public awareness program
was organized in a Mini hallThe chief Guest to the occasion Thiru.V.K.Subburaj,
IAS, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department,
inaugurated the workshop Dr.B.N.Prakash, Director, Department
of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka presided over the function.
Dr.K.M.H.Akbarsha, Dr.A.S.Manikavel, Dr.M.R.Srivatsan, Executive
member, Central Council for Homoeopathy, Dr.Veerabramhasary, President,
Karnataka Board Homoeopathy System of Medicine were the dignitaries
of the occasion.
Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, Editor, Homoeo times welcomed the gathering
and Dr.P.V.Venkatraman proposed vote of thanks.

Workshop
at Main Hall
The Workshop held at the pommarangam hall of Anna Institute of Management
.The first session discussed the Spermatogenesis and Oogenesis preventing
factors. The first session was chaired by Dr.M.R.Srivatsan, Executive
member, Central Council for Homoeopathy, and co-chaired by Dr.S.Mohamed
Aleem, Member State Resource Center, Directorate of Indian Medicine
and Homoeopathy, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Dr.P.V.Venkatraman, Member Drug Standardization Committee,
Central council for Research in Homoeopathy presented his topic
on Qualitative and Quantitative Management of Sperm count. Dr.P.Venkataraman
gave an inspiring speech with documented studies. A topic on Streamlining
Menstrual Irregularities in infertility was presented by Dr. Sudha,
Soukaya international foundation Bangalore. She illustrated her
successful cases in streamlining menstrual irregularities.
Prof. Dr S.Jagada, Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College, Chennai
presented her talk on Counteracting Endocrine disorders in females
with well illustrated cases. Her clinical tips were eye opener to
the clinicians.
The second scientific session was focused on the
Scope of Homoeopathy in Surgical Conditions. Dr K.H.M .Akbarsha,
eminent physician in the Chennai city chaired and Dr.Udachankar,
principal, A.M.Sheik Homoeopathic Medical College, Belgaum co-chaired
the session. Dr. Leela D'Souza-Francisco, internationally acclaimed
physician discussed on fertility in Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease.
She illustrated clinical cases on PCOS with different types of prescription.
Dr.R.Gnanasambandam President, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical council
presented a pre operative and post operative case with audio visual
aid.Dr.T.Semparuthi, Madurai shared his Clinical experience on Fibroids.
The third session started after lunch discussed the psychosomatic
problems, Counseling and Stress Management. The Chairman to this
session was Dr.K.R.K.Prabhakaramurthy, Vijayawada and Co Chairman
Dr.Chatterjee, Principal, Venkateswara Homoeopathy Medical College,
Chennai.Dr.Jo Mathew, Chennai shared his clinical experience on
Remedial Measures in Premature Ejaculation.
Dr. G.Suresh, Principal, Nethra Homoeopathy Medical College, Coimbatore
presented an inspiring speech on Effective management of Erectile
Dysfunctions. He shared his success stories. Prof. Dr. Shaila M
Udachankar, A.M.Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College Belgaum, presented
her talk on Remedial Measures on psychosomatic problems in females
with research studies.
Finally the plenary session was clinical synopsis on successful
cases with Evidence based studies. Dr.M .Ravindran shared his successful
case on oligospermia, Dr.Agnes Joy shared her success story with
menstrual irregularities, Dr. S.Chidambaranathan presented a evidence
based study on PCOS and success story, Dr.T.Semparuti presented
a case of Oligospermia ,Dr.A.R. Tagore presented a case of Oligospermia.
Dr.Sundari Semparuti shared her clinical study with a successful
case in cystic ovaries and Dr M.S .Bhagavathi presented a successful
case on PCOD in female partner and bilateral varicocele in male
partner.
A Public Awareness Program in Mini Hall
A Public Awareness program is intended to bring awareness on infertility
and to highlight the efficacy of Homoeopathic treatment was hosted
in Mini Hall. 25 couples participated in this program. After inaugural
session the couple joined this break away session.
The first session “fertility in males “discussed
the common infertility problems impotence, seminal disorders, varicocele,
infections, blocks and other allied problems. Dr.R.Gnanasambandam
and Dr.P.Mukundan will presented with clinical illustrations. The
fertility problems in females were presented by Dr.M.Saraswathy
and Dr. Jessy Markose. They discussed the common fertility problems
Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease, Thyroid disorders, Fibroids, Adenomyosis,Endometriosis
, Tubal block, Pelvic inflammatory diseases with visual aids.
The psychological aspect will be covered in third
session. Dr.P.V.Venkatraman talked on interpersonal problems in
males and Dr. S. Monalisa spoke on inter personal problems in females.
A question- answers session “Open forum” was held after
lunch. The participants interacted well with the resource persons.
They jointed the plenary session thereafter.

Dr. A.U.Ramakrishnan presided over the valedictory
session. Thiru. G.A.Rajkumar IAS, Principal Secretary and Director,
Department of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Government of Tamil
Nadu was the chief Guest to the function. Mr.Ln.Leo Muthu , Chairman,
Sairam Groups of Institutions, Thiru C.Soundararajan, Registrar,
Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical council, Dr.A.Sakuntala, Chairman,
Venkateswara Homoeopathy Medical College, Mr.S.Karthik Ragava Murthy,
Managing Director, Bahola Laboratories were special Guests to the
occasion. The Principal secretary and Director released the official
Directory “Homoeo Directory 2009” and the first copy
was received by Ln Leo Muthu. Mementos were distributed to the resource
persons, Homoeo Team leaders and coordinators. Dr.P.Mukundan delivered
the welcome address and Dr.M.Saraswathy proposed vote of thanks.
The event concluded with national anthem.
